After reviewing his work I decided to build aiefoil MF Hornet. Well the first few flights where to say the least uncontrollable. Flying wings especially benefit from the additional control authority caused by the more adhered airflow over the control surfaces. For a small size a KFm2 is good, going large a KFm4 will give a thicker wing which will better suited for the size, all will work fine.
And, now for the most amazing aspect of all I do not have sophisticated test equipment, but I do design and build a lot of model airframes. Therefore, most of the length of the KF airfoil chord is producing lift even at high angles of attack. When the wing is folded over to create the airfoil, the top is smooth and rounded off to the trailing edge while the bottom has a step formed by the edge of the foam.
Also, I did not want to have to compensate with down elevator when doing a highspeed pass. The modifications were simple and kept the demensions of the plane identical. JB, although that pdf was great for the KF, it didn’t mention the Simplest KF which is the single layer added to the wing with No spar as you have depicted above.
It’s called a KFm1 step airfoil. And, it was bouncing all around the universe in the microwave background and showing up on TV sets. Would this design work on a propeller?

The simple KF airfoil shape lends itself well to construction in sheets of various plastic foams, typically expanded polystyrene EPS or expanded polypropylene EPP.

When in flight, the Maker Trainer 2 is stable at high speeds for its small size and light weight. The step on a KF airfoil works by trapping a vortex of air. A normal airfoil produces friction over the entire surface. They are small but help to prevent the spill off of air running from the the center of the plane to the wing tips. I think the step is important as it creates the lift but not in terms of the size of the step but more as the angle between the step and the LE.
