I know this is good writing and all — but I’m just hating hwblamos misanthropic world view — as if being a depressed and alcoholic Midwesterner is somehow the essence of being human or something. My opinion of this book can best be summarised in this text based exchange between me and a friend when I was at hblamos halfway point: Looking at the passage though every single word is packed with meaning hidden behind the simplicity of the words.

Those are usually reasons enough for me to pick up a book, but as usual, I failed to do any research beforehand.
I only have one word for it: So you can’t tell if the people in the story love each other, or are just putting on a show. I was in college and full of life.
